Norbert Gschwend Prize

WHAT IS THE NORBERT GSCHWEND PRIZE?

This premier scientific award of the society, which is awarded every two years, was created to honour the memory of Norbert Gschwend - an outstanding Swiss surgeon who was one of the two Founding Members of SECEC with Didier Patte.

The € 3 000 prize is awarded for a body of European scientific research of outstanding merit pertaining to the ELBOW.

Applications are reviewed and selected by the Research and Development Committee. The winner is contacted in the summer and announced at the Annual Congress. The laureate will be asked to present his/her work to the SECEC Community during the Annual Congress.

The mention "SECEC Norbert Gschwend Prize" should be added to the publication title.
